Innoventions provides collective and individual expertise to organizations and projects we believe in. We have created and developed numerous sites in various capacities ranging from the conception, implementation and management of their online presence to the simple donating of server space and bandwidth.

Servicemembers Legal Defense Network

For over five years, ApolloMedia created and designed the web site for the Servicemember's Legal Defense Network (SLDN). SLDN is dedicated to ending witch hunts, death threats, imprisonment, lesbian-baiting, discharges and other discriminatory actions against men and women in the military harmed by 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Pursue, Don't Harass,' and related policies, through direct legal assistance, watchdog activities, policy work, outreach and education, and litigation support. ApolloMedia has received awards and commendations for the site, including from the SLDN and from the Alexander Hamilton Post of the American Legion. More importantly though, are the expressions of thanks from servicemembers whose lives were saved or altered by their access to the SLDN’s resources on the site. This site also factored into our decision to challenge the Communications Decency Act which, as worded, could have criminalized the life saving information published by ApolloMedia on this site. Recently, the SLDN took their site in-house as ApolloMedia was no longer able to offer the increasing resources their site needed on a day-to-day basis. We assisted in the transition, and take great pride in having provided the weaning of a site that has truly grown up, and that continues to serve honorably.

Couture for the Cure

Working with Toomey Tourell, a prestigious San Francisco fine arts gallery to produce Couture for the Cure an annual event to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Action, ApolloMedia has developed the Couture for the Cure Web site for over two years, with plans to develop another site for the next event in December 2001.
